Something so special...
There is something truly special about being both an ag teacher and a photographer when senior season rolls around. This sweet senior has a double place in my heart—not only do I get to have her in class, but I also get the honor of having her in front of my camera. To make it even better, she even stands beside me as a second shooter during some of my sessions, helping me capture even more special moments!
When Hadley first asked me to take her senior photos, I was so excited. But then I had an idea: what if I started a senior rep program? She eagerly agreed to be my very first rep, and I can’t think of anyone better to help me shape this program. With her feedback and willingness to dive in, I’ve been able to build the perfect package and learn what really works best.
Her first senior session couldn’t have been more perfect. For early July in Kansas, the weather was a dream. We spent about an hour together, with multiple outfit changes, capturing all the pieces of her story—her own photography business, her truck, and her connection to the ag classroom. Every location and every look represented a part of who she is, and I loved being able to freeze that in time.
This girl is the real deal. Her heart, passion, creativity, and positivity shine whether she’s in the classroom, competing at contests, or cheering on her classmates and teammates. She’s a force to be reckoned with, and I feel so lucky that she trusted me to capture this exciting season of her life.
To the Fairgrounds
Hadley’s second session was all about fun—and it couldn’t have been more her. She has such a strong connection to her local county fair, so it was the perfect place to capture a playful evening of senior photos.
I’ll be honest, I had just returned that same day from a bridal session in Wyoming. After a few long days of travel, I wasn’t sure how much energy I’d have left for another shoot. But the moment I met up with Hadley at the fair, all of that worry melted away. Her excitement was contagious, and she instantly brought the session to life.
From the bright lights of the rides to the buzz of the sheep show happening nearby, Hadley absolutely shined. She laughed, she played, and she embraced every moment—letting her personality sparkle in every shot.
This session was the perfect reminder of why I love senior photography so much. It’s not just about the pictures; it’s about capturing a senior in their element, surrounded by the things and places that mean the most to them. Hadley made this mini session unforgettable, and I’m so thankful I get to tell her story through my lens.
Two More Sessions to go...
With two more sessions to go, I cannot wait to see how Hadley continues to grow throughout her senior year and to capture the rest of her high school journey. She has taught me so much—encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and to always kill it with kindness.
Hadley, I am so proud of you, and I cannot wait to see where your senior year takes you. Remember to slow down and savor both the small and big moments along the way. Thank you for being the best first senior rep I could have asked for. Your energy has been so refreshing and has already set the tone for what I hope this program becomes—a celebration of seniors, their passions, and their unique stories.
